Sumo Implores YOU to go VOTE - Blue!

With recent polls, Sumo is unsure if it is safe to come out from under the covers.
While I prefer purple, I already voted blue, all the way through.
Sumo implores you to go out & vote early & blue, all the way through!

Sumo, Still Ten Years Old

Sumo only hours away from his 11th birthday.
A ride with my buddy on my Buddy, my scooter, up the mountain where the aspens have turned to gold,
followed by chicken, lots of chicken, ought to be in the cards for us for tomorrow.

A Purple People's Party

Yes, I am all for a third party, based on Bernie's progressive platform and his current supporters aimed at 2020 elections. Independents make up the largest percentage of voters, meaning they (we, strictly I am still registered as Democrat, but that might change after the democratic convention, or by fall, or with a renewed attempt to establish a viable alternative to the 2-party system of Democrats and Republicans.)

Bernie chose to hitch his wagon to the Democrats, for now. It was an excellent choice, I believe, he would never have gotten the exposure he has gotten as a 3. party candidate from the start. I do not believe he can defect the Democratic party in favor of a new 3. party now. He would lose credibility and be seen as an opportunist. Bernie will be in a great position to work on a progressive agenda from within the democratic party. Meanwhile from within Bernie's movement we have already leaders such a as Professor Robert Reich, Secretary of Labor under President Clinton, who has proven himself to have been a most eloquent advocate for Bernie and the issues so important to us, and the formidable Nina Turner who as a Senator of Ohio introduced legislation S.B. 307 to regulate men's reproductive rights, in retaliation to male legislators attempts to restrict women's reproductive rights, hilarious.

Bernie created a movement whose time may not have come yet, but will. It is crucial to gather the momentum in to positive action for a future we truly can believe in, but not on cost of a Trump presidency! Change takes time. Impatience will not get us what we want, but a long view will eventually. Time is on our side, I am hopeful.

The 99 Pledge

Fun to see so many familiar faces speak out for change I can believe in.

Occupy Santa Fe approved  (officially, at a General Assembly) a national campaign spearheaded by Alan Hoffman, to bring movements across the nation together in an effort to "get the money out of electoral politics". This video tells the Occupy movements around the country how to use The 99 Pledge package so as to encourage our representatives to place their votes for the people, rather then with the interests of the manipulative, moneyed corporations. End the legal bribing of our elected officials by the top 1%!
Representative Brian Egolf, the first to sign The 99 Pledge.

While Occupy Santa Fe officially ended the encampment last weekend and clean up efforts have been under way and are almost complete, Occupy Santa Fe activism is far from over. Big actions are being planed for the opening of our 30-day legislative session, please stay tuned, we have progressed in to another phase of an unstoppable movement.

Post Ecliptic Dream

Wide awake at 3:45 a.m., just at the start of the lunar eclipse, I watched the event some on-line until sleep beckoned again. That is when I dreamed of teasing one tiny, pink, giggly mouse, by rolling it across my bed. Delighted this little creature, on it's back, pink paws extended, cute little belly exposed, seemed to giggle and laugh it's head off, just like my Sumo-boy might.

Is my subconscious inviting me to lighten up? Mind you I am scared of mice and outside of my dreams I would never attempt to join any one of them in play. No doubt those lovers of rodents and all things alive will judge me lacking in one of life's major source of enjoyments. I woke not light, but heavy hearted, and the mood seems to want to persist.
